Psych Central: Dr. Grohol's Mental Health Page 
Looking for an online support group or a resource in psychology, mental health, psychiatry, or social work?  This site is a  psychologist's guide to self-help and mental health resources.  It includes online resources for both consumers and professionals as well as annotated guides to useful Websites, newsgroups, and mailing lists online  in mental health, psychology, social work, and psychiatry.

American Psychological Association

The premiere professional association for psychologists.  Site includes information on careers in the field and APA publications. Also, includes a "Psychology Topics" section that is a good starting point when searching for a research topic.

 

Psychweb 
A well developed list of prioritized links involving resources usefully oriented toward students in psychology. Topics of interest include: affect, behavior, biofeedback, continuing education, cognition, disorders, employment, government, graduate students, HIPAA, history, learning, mega sites, personality, professional associations, professional schools, psychotherapy, publications, specialties, and tests.

Very comprehensive list of Psychology journals provided by Hanover College.  Some journals are open access. For non open access journals use our Journal look up tab available from the library homepage: http://library.uis.edu/ to determine Brookens library access.
