Company Financials

You can you usually locate a public company's 10-K and other SEC Filings on the "Investor" section of the company's website. The following library databases also contain 10-Ks, SEC filings, and other financial information, such as its balance sheets, cash flow and ratios.

Types of Sources

  • Annual Report: the main document public companies use to disclose corporate information to shareholders. It is normally a polished report including an opening letter from the CEO, financial data, results of continuing operations, market segment information, new product plans, subsidiary activities, and R&D activities on future programs.
  • 10-K: An SEC filing containing more detailed financial information than annual reports; text may include products, markets, distribution channels, research and development, patent, and environmental safety information.
  • 10-Q: Quarterly financial reports.
